MACARTHUR region residents are invited to bring their empty stomachs to the Pink High Tea at Otis Bar and Grill, at Campbelltown, in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The promotion runs seven days a week for the month of January and all proceeds are going towards the foundation as they raise awareness for breast cancer.
“People love a little indulgence, spoiling themselves and celebrating special occasions such as overcoming breast cancer,” food and beverage manager Zara Churchill said.
“Our patrons will not only get to indulge in our sweet and savoury treats, but they will be supporting a worthy cause too!
“A number of our patrons have already told us that they are breast cancer survivors and they are interested in the event just because of that.”
The pink high tea includes sweet and savoury treats and a glass of sparkling on arrival.
On the day, guests are treated to a glass of pink sparkling on arrival followed by more than a dozen choices from the high tea menu including mini quiches, prawn cocktail, pink-frosted cupcakes, panna cotta and lemonade and mocha scones.
Guests can also enjoy roasted chicken breast and coconut ice.
“Although the event is particularly popular with women, our high tea is an opportunity to socialise and get together with family and friends,’’ she said.
“During the holidays, mothers also bring their children along and we have a special high tea menu more suitable to their palate with a soft drink included.”
Preparation for such a popular event is quite detailed and bookings are needed 24 hours in advance.
“Any bookings with 15 or more attendees, will receive complimentary function room hire to celebrate their special occasion,’’ she said.
